The grapefruit is round, flat to almost the shape of an oval turned inside out und measures 10-15 cm in diameter. It has a solid, smooth skin of pale yellow or reddish yellow. This is up to one centimetre thick and firmly adhered to the pulp. The pulp is very juicy and sweet sour with a bitter note.
QUALITYNOTE
It?s advantageous to store them for some time, because this increases the flavour and mildness and the pulp can be loosened more easily from the skin. The ideal storage temperature is 10-15° C, with a relative humidity of 85-90 %. Storage period: approx. 2-3 months.
