These slim cucumbers reach about 40 cm in length and a thickness of about 10 cm. The cucumbers are green in the beginning, in the so-called green maturity stage, and change colour with increasing seed maturity to white, yellowish white, orangey yellow. They can weigh up to 1,500 g.
QUALITYNOTE
The skin should be smooth. Well-developed cucumbers can be stored for up to 3 weeks at about 12° C and high relative humidity. In the refrigerator, the storability is merely 1-2 days.
GOOD TO KNOW
Cucumbers should never be stored with tomatoes or fruit. They then mature too quickly and turn yellow.
